Our principles

Our characteristics
We offer potential donors an opportunity to be visible donors in development projects designed to help either vulnerable individuals or vulnerable groups of people in poor countries. Donations are made visible on the web by the purchase of a certain number of pixels on a picture.

Principles and project criteria

Small, local NGOs
In all the projects we support, we generally try to cooperate with reputable small, local Non Governmental Organisations (NGOs) whose work is particularly useful and important for the long-term development of vulnerable populations.

Development
DonationPixel values long-term development. This means going beyond just temporary action: each project aims at fundamentally improving the local quality of life. Moreover, as well as helping local NGOs financially, DonationPixel seeks to support them institutionally. Finally, we also have in mind the personal development of the locals involved in those NGOs.

Supervision
DonationPixel monitors projects locally, following them step by step during and after each action. We also verify the accounts of the local NGOs, after having taught them efficient and controllable bookkeeping.

Neutrality
DonationPixel is politically and religiously neutral. We never side with or against people, groups or causes for either political or religious reasons.

Information
DonationPixel’s regular site updates allow donors and anyone interested to follow the progression of each project, with photos and other media whenever available.

I wish DonationPixel the full success it deserves for its original support to very useful humanitarian projects, particularly for women and children. ”
