| How to support a project? DonationPixel offers donors an opportunity to participate in carefully selected humanitarian projects to support development in the third world. Donors can choose the project or projects that appeal to him. Each project is divided into a certain number of blocks of 100 pixels. Donors decide on their level of participation, that is, the amount they would like to donate to a particular project. They then buy blocks of pixels corresponding to the amount contributed. Donors can also send us their logo, name or any picture, sign or text they want to appear in the space bought with the donation. The size of this space is determined by the number of pixels bought. They can also send us the URL of their business or personal website, which their image will link to. Alternatively, donors can choose to remain anonymous if they wish to. Whenever visitors to the DonationPixel site click on a donor’s logo, name or image, they will be linked directly to that donor’s website. DonationPixel guarantees that the donor’s logo will remain visible for a period of three years after the project is launched. For each project, DonationPixel automatically updates information about the amount of funds received and the amount still needed. Select a project on the left or see the projects to be supported... DonationPixel gives regular updates, with photos when available, charting the progress of each project. Donors can thus track the evolution of the project and get feedback on the work done. DonationPixel generally works with local, efficient NGOs with limited means and would otherwise have no opportunities to get in touch with donors and potential donors. DonationPixel monitors each project carefully, regularly checking the money spent as well as the progress of the work. DonationPixel seeks to help our partners become self-sufficient by contributing to their long-term development. |
